This course is a professional basic course in building environment and equipment engineering. The course covers a wide range of topics, including heat and mass transfer, external and internal environment of building, building materials, indoor sound, light and electricity, and physical and psychological response of human body to environment.

Content of this course includes:

  • external environment of building, including outdoor climate, motion law of the sun and the earth, and the influence on buildings,
  • internal environment of buildings, including main pollution source of indoor air and evaluation indexes of indoor environment,
  • thermal and humid environment of buildings, including the formation of thermal and humid load of buildings, calculation method of thermal and humid load,
  • the laws of human body’s response to thermal and humid environment, and research on thermal comfort,
  • luminous environment and acoustic environment of buildings, and indoor environment requirements of industrial buildings.
