The application of phase change material (PCM) in buildings can Solve the mismatch between energy supply and demand, promote the use of renewable energy, improve the economy. However, the low thermal conductivity of PCM leads to the bad heat transfer performance, severely limiting its application. The cascaded PCMs can achieve better heat transfer uniformity, higher heat transfer rate, higher energy/exergy/entransy efficiency, and less irreversible loss. It should be noted that the application of cascaded PCMs is far more complicated than single PCM. Thermodynamic analysis and optimization is necessary to provide theoretical guidance. |
