The catalytic performances of zeolite H-beta catalyst and thereaction kinetics is studied. The influence of zeolite particle size on the catalytic performance is critical, the whole reaction would be controlled by the diffusion step when zeolite beta particles are large. The results obtained in this study would be beneficial to intensify the one-step synthesis of lactide from lactic acid.
