Carbon nanotubes could be an effective adsorbent for its high binding affinity and capacity, but it might be suffered from the inconvenience of separating and regenerating spent in powder carbon nanotubes. Magnetic separation has been considered as a rapid and effective technique for separating magnetic materials. However, to our best knowledge, little work has been done on the development of MnFe2O4/multi-walled carbon nanotube composites and their tetracycline(TC)removal from aqueous solution. Motivated by all these, a simple one-step low-temperature refluxing rout was used to develop a new kind of magnetic composite adsorbent, MnFe2O4/MWCNTs composite (MMWCNTs). We first address the issue TC onto magnetic MMWCNTs from aqueous solution. The evaluation of adsorption kinetics, equilibrium and isotherms of TC onto MMWCNTs were also investigated. |
