In this study, co-pyrolysis characteristics of sargassum (Sa) and poplar (Po) were investigated based on thermogravimetric analyzer and a fixed bed at a range of blending ratios. Results indicated that sargassum had the impact on the initial temperature and terminated temperature in co-pyrolysis. There was no obvious difference in product yield with calculated value. but the addition of the sargassum increased the percentage content of the CO and CO2 in the gaseous products and increase the yield of phenols and furans, meanwhile, decrease the yield of ketones and aldehydes in the bio-oil. The research results indicated the co-pyrolysis of Po and Sa is a promising method to gaining valuable fuels and can be used to promoted co-utlilization of terrestrial biomass and algae. |
