Plagiarism is a serious concern for higher education globally. It is also a problem that the academia needs to pay attention to. This paper mainly discusses the viewpoints and prevention of graduate students’ plagiarism in Tianjin University’s school and education. On the one hand, questionnaires and interviews were used to investigate 30 master and doctoral students. It was found that the graduate students hold different attitudes toward plagiarism, and these differences mainly reflect previous instruction received on plagiarism and the perceptions of some cases as plagiarism and their acceptability. On the other hand, this paper discusses strategies for plagiarism prevention. Based on the findings, this paper calls for graduate students to raise awareness of anti plagiarism, attach great importance to academic writing course, try to use the anti plagiarism software, and clear the college management regulations. |
