High intensity sweeteners such as sucralose and aspartame are reported to have sweetness delivery problems. Hence there is need for sweetness taste enhancers with desirable characteristics. 4-Amino-5,6-dimethylthieno[2,3-d]pyrimidin-2(1H)-onehydrochloride salt ( ADBDP ) is a sweetness enhancer and modulator which is useful in comestible or medicinal compositions, especially for sucralose.
