The topic is about a method to construct instantaneous depth model. The method is based on the grid model and chart data. The feasibility of the method is verified by experiments, and the following conclusions are drawn.
- The proposed method, based on the grid tidal model and chart data, can predict the tide height in a sea area continuously, and can construct the corresponding instantaneous depth model.
- The constructed instantaneous depth model can meet the requirement of the dynamical representation for low data amount of chart depth.
- The instantaneous depth model is generally accurate for the wide and plane sea areas, but the further improvement is needed by adopting more accurate depth and tide model in the coastwise area.
