All chiral indenocorannulene derivatives were resolved by analytical HPLC under different conditions (for methoxyindenocorannulene; see Figure 2.). Possibilities of extrapolating experimental outcomes of corannuleneto chiral materials make this model compound fundamental importance. This general strategy can be exploited to make many other chiral derivatives.
