Norbornene has been widely used in organic synthesis for the preparation of polymers as well as making functionalized arenes. However, the researches on norbornene analogues have not been well established. Herein, we try to synthesis various cyclic olefin derivatives in a convenient way. We have developed a successful strategy of the functionalization of benzonorbornene, and try to apply them into organic synthesis, such as Catellani reactions. |
