The energy consumption of environmental control system accounts for 60%~70% of the whole operation energy consumption in subway system, in which the ventilation system contributes over 50%. It will have significant effects on energy saving if the environment control system can be improved effectively. This paper proposes an innovative environment control system, which features an innovative platform door with controllable vents, aiming to improve the energy performance and thermal environment in subway station. A train-induced field test and a series of numerical simulations were conducted in Taiyuanjie (TYJ) station. Based on the numerical model, the optimized parameters of the innovative platform doors and the thermal environment in the subway station were analyzed. Moreover, the operation scheme for the innovative environmental control system was put forward in this study. The energy performance of the innovative environmental control system was discussed for five typical subway cities in five climate zones of China. The results showed that the energy consumption of the innovative environmental control system could be reduced by 20.64%-60.43%. |
