The rewriting theory of Lefevere opened new perspective for translation studies. The researchers from the focus on internal factors of the text to the study of the external factors. Rewriting theory expands the field of translation study, and widen translation studies from the text to the culture. However, there are short of stylistic interpretation and subjective initiative of the translators. The rewriting theory overemphasizes the environmental factors regardless of translator’s initiative. |
