Poly(vinylidene fluoride) microporous membranes were prepared via thermally induced phase separation process using diluent mixture consisted of γ-butyrolactone (γ-BL) and dioctyl phthalate (DOP). The effects of diluent mixture composition on the morphology, phase diagram, porosity and mechanical property were investigated. As the volume fraction of DOP increased, the cloud point temperature and the porosity increased, the breaking tensile decreased at first and then increased, and the morphology of the cross-section changed from spherulitic structures to cellular structures. The quantity relationship between interaction parameter and the volume fraction of DOP was determined by fitting binodal curves. The bicontinuous structures and cellular structures were obtained through adjusting PVDF concentration and the volume fraction of DOP in diluent mixture. |
