BAFF (B cell-activiating factor), aslo known as B lymphocyte stimulator(BLys) belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily, expressed by monocytes, macrophages and dendritic cells, released as a soluble form from cell membranes. BLys bind to specific receptors, can regulate B-cell proliferation, maturation and homeostasis. Overexpression of BLyS is associated with autoimmune diseases, such as system lupus erythematosus (SLE), rheumatoid arthritis(RA), B cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia(B-CLL) et al. SS21 is one of antagonist designed according to the natural receptor of BAFF. The project is investigating the effect of SS21 fusion peptibody by ELISA，and investigating the effect of SS21 fusion peptibody by cell culture. So the result can lay the foundation to applied to clinical therapy. |
