This paper combines bacterial chemotaxis algorithm with basic ant colony algorithm,and proposes one improved ant colony algorithm by bacterial chemotaxis which makes up the deficiency that the basic ant colony algorithm lacks initial pheromone and improves the optimizing speed and accuracy of algorithm. The experiment verifies the effectiveness of improved algorithm. Meanwhile, the improved ant colony algorithm is used to medical image edge detection. It can be seen from MATLAB simulation results that improved ant colony algorithm by bacterial chemotaxis has a better medical image edge detection continuity and clearer edge, and even the tiny places can be detected correctly. As a new improved ant colony algorithm, many places need to be perfected. Parameter setting and its theoretical proving are still in the exploration and need to be further studied. Besides, improved algorithm used for medical image edge detection is still in the initial phase. It still needs to be further researched for the problems about the detection for tiny places. |
