With the research of the integer-order multi-agent systems (IOMASs) and the development of the fractional calculus, many potential applications of the fractional-order multi-agent systems (FOMASs) have been found and their coordination control has attracted the increasing attention. It is due to that many physical systems are suitable to be described by the fractional-order equations, such as the vehicles moving on top of viscoelastic materials (e.g., sand, muddy road) or the high-speed aircraft traveling in an environment with the influence of particles (e.g., rain, snow). A critical issue coming from the coordination control of the FOMASs is the consensus control problem. The goal of the consensus control is to design the distributed control protocol such that the states or outputs of all agents reach an agreement on the shared information.
