The hybrid nanocarrier displayed the great potential for T1-weighted MR imaging with higher relaxivity. The sharp contrast enhancement due to the paramagnetic Mn2+ ions released from LMnP-CPT-2P NPs in acidic environments readily interact with proteins to form slowly rotating Mn-protein systems to enhance the contrast.
