Catalytic distillation is a common technology for process intensification in chemical engineering.Through the analysis of EMMS model, it can be concluded that the though description of systems with multiple control mechanisms requires a multi-scale model, and the key of the multi-scale model is to bridge the gap of macro-scale and micro-scale through the introduction of meso-scale description. In this work, this concept will be used to analyze the system of catalytic distillation, as can be seen below. |
