1. The aim of the research
We have proved that the compounds can inhibit the tumor cells growth in vitro. In this research, we wanted to find whether the compounds can suppress the tumor cells growth in vivo.
2. Methods
1) C57 mice (4–6 weeks old) were injected with U14 cells (1.5×106 cells per mouse) to create subcutaneous tumors.
2) When tumor size reached a predetermined size, C57 mice were randomly divided into control, cis-platinum, quinine, quinidine, cinchonine, cinchonidine, combination-1 (each compound accounted for one third) and combination-2 (the concentration of each compound is IC50) groups (n=5 for each group).
3) Treated the C57 mice through the tail vein for every other day.
4) After stimulation, tumors were measured every other day and tumor volumes were calculated using the following formula: V=1/2ab2 (a is the largest diameter and b is the smallest diameter) |
