Considering that we hope to find a simple way to synthesize a series of Ru compounds, we planed to start with our vision of substrate changes. For the change of the aromatic moiety which formed a C-Ru bond through a Concerted Metalation-Deprotonation (CMD) process, we mainly focused on pre-founctionalized 2-phenylpyridine derivatives.
