PI3K-AKT is the main signaling pathway involved in cell survival and the proliferative signal in the tumor cells. The serine/threonine AKT, known as protein kinase B, is a pivotal component of cell survival, metabolism, invasion, metastasis, as well as anti-apoptosis and cell-cycle progression in response to essential cytokines. Yang et al. showed that TRAF6 was found to be a E3 ligase for AKT. And activated AKT can inhibit the apoptosis of tumor cells.
