Lignum Caraganae has been used to treat diseases for a long history with satisfactory effect. The red heartwoods of the stems and roots of the plant, which have the efficacy of promoting blood circulation, inhibiting blood stasis and lowering blood pressure, are the medicinal parts and used for the treatment of blood congestion, hypertension and menstrual disorders. Previous researches have exhibited that flavonoids are the main components of Lignum Caraganae, and stilbenes, phenylpropanoids, terpenoids, sterols and amino acids have been reported as well. Based on the previous researches, this subject studied the chemical constituents of the ethanol extracts of Lignum Caraganae. The results would lay foundation for elucidating the pharmacological material basis and subsequent qualitative analysis of Lignum Caraganae.
This report mainly introduced the extraction process and the problems and solutions discovered in the process. |
