The play presents the tragic road to suicide of Willy Loman, a failed businessman, whose significant past and frustrated present are mingled in the scenes. He and his wife, Linda put the hope to their two children, Biff Loman and Happy Loman, however, their two children are almost good for nothing. The life gives him much pressure, and the sharp contrast between the reality and the dream begins to hallucinate himself. At last, Willy kills himself in the car, hoping that the insurance money will support the family and Biff could get a new start in his life.
This presentation will be divided into four parts, a brief introduction to the author, an introduction to the work, analysis of theme and techniques ,and the last is the conclusion. |
